The Postmaster General Mr. John Tonui accompanied by the Chairperson of the Postal Corporation of Kenya Board, Hon. Rose Ogendo Nyamunga and Director Julius Musyoki, Met with the Managing Director KPA Captain William Ruto.
Posta Kenya will now provide last mile delivery services to KPA and also collaborate in Clearing and forwarding business.

The two deliberated on Business collaboration among the the two entities including EMS courier service and Environmental conservation among others.

The Postmaster General Mr. John Tonui officially opened the Universal Postal Union ,Operational Readiness for E-commerce (ORE 3) Project workshop in Nairobi.
The five day workshop aims to enhance knowledge and practical skills related to Postal Service Efficiency, Quality of Service and Compliance with E-commerce requirements.

The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Ministry of Information, Communications and Digital Economy, represented by Director Hezron Nyaberi and The Postmaster General Mr John Tonui launched a joint cooperation with the Government of Lithuania through a joint initiative to evaluate and identify opportunities to expand and build capabilities in the delivery of digital government services.

BT PS Prof Edward Kisiang’ani paid a visit to the Posta GPO Hub, where he was received by the Branch Manager Mr. Elkana Chemengich. The PS encouraged Posta staff to embrace excellent customer service and efficiency, in order to support the rollout of e-commerce in the country.

The Postmaster General hosted the President of The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Erick Rutto. The discussions were mainly centered on how Postal Corporation of Kenya and Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry – KNCCI can collaborate to Promote, co-ordinate and protect commercial and industrial interest of the general public with Posta Kenya offering last mile delivery for businesses.

The Postmaster General hosted a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme led by the Senior Economic Advisor at UNDP, Mr Bheki Bhembe. The two discussed several issues and how the UNDP can assist PCK to meet its Business Obligations.

The Postmaster General Mr. John K Tonui met with the Director General NTSA KENYA Mr George Njau to discuss and firm up the MOU for delivery of Logbooks, driving licenses and Number plates.
The Postmaster General was accompanied by The Corporation Secretary- Mr Julius Opini, Ag. GM Courier- Mr Mukhtar Abdullahi, & Head of ICT – Mr Samuel King’oo.
The DG NTSA was accompanied by the Director Registration & Licensing – Mr Cosmos Ngeso.

Deputy DG, E-Citizen services, Mr Joseph Mutai, accompanied by the GM Business Development Postal Corporation of Kenya Mr. James Kahonge, paid a courtesy call to the Postmaster General in his office to brief him on PCK status with regards to the Presidential Directive on onboarding of all Government services on the E-Citizen platform.

Postmaster General Mr. John Tonui met with the CEO KCB Group Mr Paul Russo and his team. Together with the team they discussed in detail on how Postal Corporation of Kenya
and KCB can partner especially on Agency Banking services to leverage on the postal network to provide financial inclusion to the unbanked in remote area.

Postmaster General Mr. John Tonui met with the Director General Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NAMATA) Eng. Francis Gitau.
They had a very fruitful meeting on business collaboration.
Areas agreed on include but not limited to Mail Conveyance, EMS , Clearing and forwarding and joint CSR on tree planting in some of the BRT depos.

Postmaster General Mr. John Tonui witnessed the launch of the Nandi County Digital Marketplace.
This highly commendable initiative will bring together farmers, traders and all the MSMEs businesses together on one platform to buy and sell their products. The Digital Marketplace is a first of its kind in the country and will definitely be a benchmark for other counties. This is a clear demonstration that E-commerce is a reality in Kenya.

The Postmaster General was part of the official launch of free WIFI program in Marigat , Baringo county, as part of the transformative agenda of the Kenya Kwanza Government by The Cabinet Secretary @MoICTKenya Eliud Owalo.
The WiFi will enable Marigat residents and farmers find available markets for their products and produce through E-commerce which will be facilitated by the collaboration of the ICT Authority and Postal Corporation of Kenya
