The government’s effort to make food cheap and available to all Kenyans are bearing fruit with various initiatives aimed at supporting farming. Livestock rearing and fish production imitated. There are efforts to encourage large scale commercial farming to increase and diversify the staples food in the country through irrigation and other technologies.
More farmer are accessing subsidized inputs to lower their cost of production and boost earnings. They will also get better access to the market and subsidies will be redesigned not only to increase food yields but also to improve qualities.
